Reservations and Booking Procedure

Informational Form:

• Please refer to the calendar schedule for available dates. To inquire about trip availability for the week of your choice, please complete the information on the form. When you click on “submit” this information will be emailed to us. We will get back to you via email to confirm and the deposit amount due.
   
• To reserve a week for 2010: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of 50% deposit of your charter fee by means of check or money order.
• Make check payable to: The Sailing Ship Charter Company

• Final payment for the balance is due 60 days prior to the charter date by means of check or money order. Check payable to The Sailing Ship Charter Company and send to same address as above.
   

• To reserve week for 2011: Reservations are confirmed with a deposit of $200 per person. We ask that the deposit is made out in one check or money order.
• Then one-half the balance ($455 per person) is due October 1, 2010

• IMPORTANT: As of Jan. 1, 2011 we are required to pay a 4% tax on our charters to the Bahamian government. Please add $44 per person ($1,110 x 4% = $44) to the balance of the final payment. We have never increased our price per person. But this is a tax we must pay to the Bahamian government.

• Final payment for the balance is due 60 days prior to the charter date by means of check or money order Check payable to The Sailing Ship Charter Company and send to same address as above.
   
• We are looking forward to having you on board “Ciganka” with us for this great adventure. It will be an experience of a lifetime!

Cancellations and Refunds

• This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, unless we can book that week with another charter. (All efforts will be made on our part to rebook that week so you get a refund. But there is no guarantee.)

Travel Arrangements

• You are welcome to arrange your own travel plans to Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas as your destination.
• Or you can go through our travel agent that has spent the last 15 years arranging travel plans for hundreds of groups to spend a week charter in the Abacos. She can definitely put together a good flight schedule to get you to Marsh Harbour!

Documents Needed for Your Travels

Everyone must have a passport! As of January 2007 the US requires a passport to enter the United States. As of July 2007 the Bahamas will require a passport to enter their country. If you do not have an updated passport please get this done now so you have it in time for your trip.

• There is a $15 (cash) departure tax you will pay at the airport when you are leaving the Bahamas.

Arriving in Marsh Harbor

• Upon your arrival in Marsh Harbour get a taxi at the airport. Call "Captain Thomas" on the taxi's VHF radio on Channel 74. We will instruct the taxi where to meet us. For some reason if you do not reach us on the radio, have the taxi take you to the Conch Marina.
