  • Please refer to the calendar schedule for available dates. To inquire about trip availability for the week of your choice, please complete the information on the form. When you click on “submit” this information will be emailed to us. We will get back to you via email to confirm and the deposit amount due.
     
  • To reserve a week for 2012: Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of 50% deposit of your charter fee ($555 per person) by means of check or money order.

  • IMPORTANT: As of Jan. 1, 2011 we are required to pay a 4% tax on our charters to the Bahamian government. Please add $45 per person ($1,110 x 4% = $45) to the balance of the final payment. This is a tax we must pay to the Bahamian government.
  • Final payment for the balance ($600 per person) is due 60 days prior to the charter date by means of check or money order. Check payable to The Sailing Ship Charter Company and send to same address as above.
     

  • To reserve week for 2013: Reservations are confirmed with a deposit of $200 per person. We ask that the deposit is made out in one check or money order.
  • Then one-half the balance ($355 per person) is due October 1, 2012

Cancellations and Refunds

  • This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, unless we can book that week with another charter. (All efforts will be made on our part to rebook that week so you get a refund. But there is no guarantee.)

 

Travel Arrangements

  • Your travel destination is Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas. The airport code is MHH
  • www.SkyBahamas.net We have been in communication with one of the owners of this airline. They are an inter-island Bahamian airline that have recently started flying to Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. We have discussed with them that we are looking for an airline that will offer a great price for our groups and really good customer service. They are guaranteeing our groups at least a 10% discount off the regular rate at that time. This will bring the average ticket price between $250 - $270 round trip. Please email your travel requests to reservation@skybahamas.net and reference the name, "The Sailing Ship Charter Company". This will make you eligible for the 10% discount at the time of booking. Their agents will also guide you on the payment process and procedures. You may also carbon copy the Reservations Supervisor maqkeisha Newton (mnewton@skybahamas.net) on all correspondence to ensure a personal attention. If needed the Bahamian phone number is 1-242-327-6032 Fax: 242-327-6042 This is the first season we have used this airline and are hoping that it will be a benefit for everyone!
  • https://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/products/groups/default.aspx Continental Airlines flies into Marsh Harbour. Continental Airlines has a special department to help with making travel arrangements for groups of 10 or more. It is called GroupWorks. They ask that you read through the GroupWork section of the website before you contact them. Their phone number is 1-800-525-1700 Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Central Time, Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Central Time. They are located in Houston, TX.
  • American Airlines and US Air also flies into Marsh Harbour

Documents Needed for Your Travels

Everyone must have a passport! As of January 2007 the US requires a passport to enter the United States. As of July 2007 the Bahamas will require a passport to enter their country. If you do not have an updated passport please get this done now so you have it in time for your trip.

  • There is a $15 (cash) departure tax you will pay at the airport when you are leaving the Bahamas.

 

Arriving in Marsh Harbor

  • Upon your arrival in Marsh Harbour get a taxi at the airport. Call "Captain Thomas" on the taxi's VHF radio on Channel 74. We will instruct the taxi where to meet us. For some reason if you do not reach us on the radio, have the taxi take you to the Conch Marina.
